The 2019 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition takes place from Saturday 15 to Sunday 22 June, with the final at St David’s Hall on the final night at 7pm. 

Tickets for the heats for the Song Prize at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and also the Main Prize final have now sold out, but tickets are still available for the Song Prize final at St David’s Hall. 

Season tickets for the competition are on sale now. You can buy all tickets here.

The first Main Prize round on Sunday 16 June will be broadcast on BBC Four at 9pm. Most of the Main Prize rounds will be played live on BBC Two Wales and on BBC iPlayer.

Radio 3 will be broadcasting all the Song prize rounds throughout the week in its 1pm Lunchtime Concert slot, presented by pianist Iain Burnside and soprano Rebecca Evans.

The Song Prize final on Thursday 20 June will be broadcast live on Radio 3 from St David’s Hall, with further TV broadcasts on BBC Four at 10pm. 

The Main Prize final, which will determine who wins the £20,000 prize, the Cardiff Trophy and the title of BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, will be broadcast live from 7.30pm on BBC Four and BBC Radio 3.
