Last night (9 December), Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov gave an excellent concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, playing an arrangement of Bach’s Fantasy and Fugue for Organ, BWV 542, Beethoven’s Piano Sonata, Op. 111 and Liszt’s Transcendental Etudes.
