Aragon Guitar Quartet Concert for Scannappeal

Aragon Guitar Quartet Concert for Scannappeal

Saturday, May 5, 2012 - 19:00

The Aragon Guitar Quartet is based in High Wycombe, where John and Petula Compton have lived for the past 25 years. The other members, Alison Bendy and Julian Taylor, live in Oxford and Ewell respectively.

The Aragon Guitar Quartet plays concerts each year for a specific charitable cause; last year they raised over £500 for the Japanese Tsunami Appeal, and this year all profits will go to the High Wycombe Hospital Scannappeal’s 25th Anniversary Appeal.

The programme has been themed to capture the very essence of Spanish and South American music, featuring both original guitar compositions and transcriptions.
