Dimitris Dekavallas (guitar) in concert

Sunday, June 17, 2012 - 19:30

Multiple award winner Dimitris Dekavallas has established himself as one of the most talented guitarists of his age. His Wigmore Hall debut recital features two premières: Sonata II by the Russian composer and guitarist, Nikita Koshkin and Fan-tango by the British composer and pianist Julian Jacobson. Both Nikita Koshkin and Julian Jacobson, whose work Dekavallas greatly admires, have dedicated the works to Dekavallas. Jacobson’s humorous work combines the tango and fandango. The recital also includes well-loved classical guitar repertoire.

'Truly phenomenal performances'' (Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation)

'' an extremely beautiful performance …. which one wished would never end'' (Classical Guitar Magazine).
