Platinum Choral Workshop: Finzi, Stanford and Wesley

Platinum Choral Workshop: Finzi, Stanford and Wesley

Saturday, September 22, 2018 - 10:30

Join us for this celebration of the Anglican choral tradition, where we explore the glorious cathedral repertoire for choir and organ, most of which was composed for the vast acoustics of Britain's cathedrals and college chapels. These beautiful buildings resound with top-quality music every day, often with very small congregations. Our line-up of composers includes some of the titans of the Anglican repertory. This music is an excellent workout for the voice and a great deal of fun!

Platinum Consort offers high quality opportunities for singers to enjoy repertoire suited to a smaller group. Every workshop has been designed to challenge the seasoned chamber singer and the experienced choral singer who wants to work on new repertoire in much smaller groups than they are used to. As always, for you to get the most out of these days, we expect you to have prepared the music in advance, or be very good sight readers. If you come prepared, we guarantee you will learn something new.
