Your free download this week is the 'Introitus' from Schütz's Die Sieben Worte, performed by the Ars Nova Copenhagen under Paul Hillier. Unpublished in the composer's lifetime, the work survives today as a set of performing parts from the 17th century.

'This deeply moving performance lives up to the promise of the two previous discs,' writes George Pratt in a review to be published in the June issue of BBC Music Magazine. 'The singers [are] admirably matched and beautifully unaffected.'
