Saturday, October 19, 2013 - 19:30

To celebrate 100 years since the birth of Benjamin Britten, the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra, with some of the resources that performed that composer's War Requiem in 2008 returns to Tewkesbury Abbey with a concert that lays much emphasis on the involvement of young people. The early Spring Symphony shows all the facility that Britten brought to his writing. Full of delights and excitement it incorporates whistling boys and a cow horn.
