This week's choral evensong will be broadcast from the annual Festival of Music within the Liturgy in the picturesque village of Edington, Wiltshire. This years theme is the poetry of George Herbert and the Seven Sacraments.

Now in its 59th year the festival, the festival has a brand new organ built by Harrison & Harrison of Durham. Daniel Hyde is tasked with giving it its first outing during this evensong, which will end with Reger’s Organ Voluntary Dankpsalm.

The choral programme includes music by Howells, Martin and Victoria sang by choristers and men gathered from the wealth of talent from Cathedrals around the country.
