A host of celebrity performers join Sean Rafferty in the In Tune studio this week, which kicks off with the Endellion Quartet, quartet in residence at Cambridge University. Performing ahead of their appearance at the Bath Series, the quartet will be playing some of their signature interpretations of Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Haydn. Beethoven fans will be pleased to know that piano star Freddy Kempf is performing live with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, celebrating the exploration of the composer's complete piano concertos. Topping off the offerings from the First Viennese School, singers from the Classical Opera Company and countertenor Lawrence Zazzo are in the studio, performing music from Mozart's first opera, Apollo et Hyacinthus.
