BBC Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny pays tribute to renowned conductor Sir Colin Davis, who died last month at the age of 85.

This programme is a selection of footage from Davis’s appearance at the 2011 Proms conducting Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis.

Davis and the London Symphony Orchestra are joined by the London Symphony Chorus and London Philharmonic Chorus, along with soloists soprano Helena Juntunen, mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, tenor Paul Groves and bass Matthew Rose to perform the great work.
