The Turn of the Screw is a claustrophobic and affecting dramatisation of Henry James’s ghost story of the same name.

The two-act chamber opera is a tale of innocence corrupted, and the struggle of good against evil, set in a large house in the Essex countryside.

Tenor Andrew Kennedy takes on the terrifying role of Peter Quint and stars alongside soprano Sally Matthews and mezzo-soprano Catherine Wyn-Rogers.

Listen out for the Radio 3 Opera Guide to the work during the interval. Richard Farnes conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in this performance which is part of the Britten 100 celebrations on Radio 3.
