Giuliano Carmignola plays Vivaldi

Listen to a clip from violinist Giuliano Carmignola's new recording of Concertos by Vivaldi with the Accademia Bizantina and conductor Ottavio Dantone

Here’s a clip from violinist Giuliano Carmignola new album exploring the mature works of Vivaldi.

The Accademia Bizantina is directed by Ottavio Dantone.

The recording, on the Archiv Produktion label, was given four stars in the latest issue of BBC Music Magazine, on sale now. Our critic, George Pratt, said: ‘Carmignola is certainly master of his instrument, not simply technically but expressively too. His bow almost talks as it shapes a motif, turns an ornament, sings a line.’

The audio clip comes from Vivaldi’s Concerto in E minor, RV 281, Allegro
