Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular to come to the UK

The popular show is set to invade six UK cities in May

Many a time, we have seen Doctor Who's famous Dalek's invade the Royal Albert Hall during the BBC Proms. Now they are set to take over the stage once more during a musical celebration of the hugely successful TV series.

The Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular, which had its world premiere in Melbourne in February 2012, is coming to six major UK cities in May 2015.

Featuring 100 performers, including from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the BBC National Chorus of Wales, the concert includes live performances of from the TV series and a big screen presentation of key moments from 50 years of Doctor Who.

Shows in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle and Glasgow will feature the Doctor’s infamous adversaries, the Daleks and Cybermen, as well as including some footage and live music, composed by Murray Gold, from the upcoming 8th series of the show.

Tickets will go on sale on this Friday (1 August 2014) with a special guest presenter announced nearer the time.
