Lang Lang's Liszt goes live worldwide
Pianist's anniversary concert to be broadcast in cinemas
To mark Liszt’s 200th anniversary pianist Lang Lang (right) will be performing a concert of the Hungarian’s music to be broadcast live to cinemas around the world.
The concert, which takes place on Sunday 23 October at 2pm (UK time), will be shown in 150 cinemas in Europe and Asia including, in the UK, in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Cambridge, Manchester, Norwich and Portsmouth (for a full list click here).
Lang Lang’s most recent disc, Liszt, My Piano Hero is a compilation of works including Liebestraum, Romance ‘O pourquoi donc’ and the First Piano Concerto, which the pianist also performed at this year’s Last Night of the Proms.
