On Tuesday 9 December Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov will perform a programme of works by Bach, Beethoven and Liszt at Carnegie Hall in New York. We are delighted to be teaming up with classical music streaming service Medici TV to offer our readers the chance to watch the performance on our website for up to a week after the event.

Described by The New York Times as ‘The closest thing to classical Netflix’, Medici TV announced its partnership with Carnegie Hall earlier this year. Performances are available to watch on home computers or, with the Medici TV app, on internet-enabled smart phones and tablets.

Trifonov will take to the famous Perelman Stage on Tuesday 9 of December at 8pm New York time (1am on Wednesday 10 December in the UK). He will be performing an arrangement of Bach’s Fantasy and Fugue for Organ, BWV 542, Beethoven’s monumental Piano Sonata, Op. 111 and Liszt’s Transcendental Etudes.

The pianist made a name for himself when he won the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011 and has since then made an acclaimed recording of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 on the Mariinsky label. In February 2013 he signed an exclusive deal with Deutsche Grammophon.

Visit our website from Wednesday 10 December onwards to watch the concert via the Medici TV webcast.

Trifonov's performance will be available, free of charge, on the Medici TV website and app for 90 days after the performance date. Visit: www.medici.tv for further information
