Each episode will feature magazine editor Oliver Condy and reviews editor Daniel Jaffé as they chat about the background to the month’s best new releases, as recommended in the current issue of BBC Music Magazine.

This month Oliver and Daniel discuss the August issue’s recommendations, including orchestral music by Andrzej Panufnik, choral music by Poulenc and some rather wonderful piano music by Henri Dutilleux. Plus, of course, our Disc of the Month – a collection of songs by various composers setting the words of Pushkin to music and sung by Dmitri Hvorostovsky.
