Sparkling organ toccatas frame these Vespers, plainchant antiphons introducing the eight-part choral items, energetic if overdependent on stock alternations of divided voices. Best is a Salve Regina, a refreshingly new texture – plangent solo voices and continuo – from an earlier collection. George Pratt
