Donald Macleod explores the life and music of Russian composer Igor Stravinsky, who is widely thoiught to be one of the most brilliant, daring and influential musical thinkers of the early 20th century.

In this week’s series, Stravinsky’s relationships with some of the great Russian nationalist composers such as Rimsky-Korsakov, Glazunov and Musorgsky, are explored in relation to some of his best-known works, as well as some hidden gems that are often overlooked.
