The York Early Music Festival is Britain’s week-long leading celebration of historically informed performance and takes place each year at venues including York Minster, Harewood House and the National Centre for Early Music. This year’s festival focused on Renaissance music with reflection on Olympic ideals of excellence and aspiration. In this programme Bott introduces the Arakaendar Bolivia Choir, directed by Ashley Solomon, in performances of 17th and 18th-century Bolivian song.
