BBC Radio 4’s Listening Project captures recorded conversations of people all over the country in intimate or simply mundane private encounters.

The project – run in conjunction with The British Library – was orchestrated into The Listening Project Symphony by composer Gary Carpenter and performed in front of an audience of Listening Project participants.

Presented by Fi Glover, the concert is being broadcast on Radio 4 to be heard by the public. The Listening Project Symphony is performed by the BBC Philharmonic orchestra and conducted by Terry Davies.
