Mozart Piano Concerto at the BBC Proms
A live performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto in A from the 2006 Proms
Gear up to this year’s Proms with a live performance from American pianist Richard Goode (left), recorded live in the Royal Albert Hall in 2006. He joins the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Jiři Běhlolávek to perform Mozart’s exuberant Piano Concerto No. 23 in A. Goode is well-known for his interpretation of Classical and Romantic piano works, and was the first American-born pianist to record the complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas. He even won a Grammy in 1983 for his performance of Brahms with Richard Stoltzman, playing the Sonatas for Clarinet & Piano, Op. 120.
