This Music Feature is presented by the cellist Julian Lloyd Webber who examines the lives and legacies of four cellist who have been largely forgotten by today’s concert audience, but who had a great influence on his own career. Felix Salmond (1888-1952), Miloš Sádlo (1912-2003), Antonio Janigro (1918-1989) and Leonard Rose (1918-1984) each faced challenges of un-rehearsed orchestras, forgotten recordings and restrictions in the war years.
