The BBC Symphony Orchestra welcomes three world-class soloists to join them for a performance of Beethoven’s elegant triple concerto for violin, cello and piano. Maxim Vengerov, Antonio Meneses and Igor Levit come together under the baton of Andrew Litton.

In the second half the orchestra takes on Rimsky-Korsakov’s enchanting Scheherazade. Music written to evoke a night of magnificent and magical stories told by a young sultana to delay her execution, this is Rimsky-Korsakov at his most vibrant and intoxicating. Maxim Vengerov performs the virtuosic solo violin line whilst conducting the orchestra.
