The annual Advent Service from St John’s College, Cambridge
What better way to start the festive season than with Choral Evensong on the first day of Advent from St John’s College, Cambridge?
One of the highlights of the run-up to Christmas, the annual choral concert from St John’s never fails to offer traditional favourites alongside more contemporary works.
This year’s service will includes Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day and Cherry Tree Carol alongside works by Britten and Panufnik, as well as a special commission by Gabriel Jackson, Vox clara ecce intonat for choir and saxophone.
Andrew Nethsingha conducts, with Edward Picton-Turbervill playing the organ.
