The Solti Centenary Concert

Valery Gergiev conducts the World Orchestra for Peace – founded by Georg Solti in 1995 – in a concert to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the great conductor’s birth. The orchestra, made up of players from leading orchestras from all over the world, presents a programme of music by Mozart, Verdi, Strauss, Mahler and Bartók. The concert will be introduced by Valerie, Lady Solti and will feature star opera singers Angela Gheorghiu and René Pape.
