The EsterházyChamber Choir celebrates summer with settings of sonnets and songs by William Shakespeare. Jazz pianist George Shearing was the focus for John Rutter’s Birthday Madrigals and Shearing himself had composed settings of Shakespeare for jazz piano and double bass. We bring the two together in one programme and include settings by Vaughan Williams and others. Summer, Shakespeare and Jazz – a winning combination!

Wed, 2013-06-26 19:30Limelight classical club night, with Charlie Siem, Raven and Chris HopkinsCharlie Siem, Chris Hopkins, Raven100 Club London W1United Kingdom
Following an explosive start to the season, with Thomas Gould and Amore's stunning performances in April, Limelight is delighted to welcome back one of its favourite veteran artists: the inimitable Charlie Siem.
Siem, who performed at Limelight's second ever concert back in 2009, is returning to the 100 Club stage by popular demand. Passionate and intense, the youngster's unique combination of musical talent and sartorial elegance has propelled him into the spotlight across the world - and we are extremely lucky he has found room in his busy schedule to perform for us again.
Siem will be supported by pianist Chris Hopkins, a rising star whose performance with Gould in April received a rapturous response, and feisty rock string quartet Raven, the resident "s**t hot" group on the BBC's former hit show Maestro (in the words of comedian Sue Perkins).
