Collection: Baroque and Renaissance Duets

The husband-and-wife duo Michael Newman and Laura Oltman are less well known in Europe than in the States, but they are certainly artists of great ability. Here they perform a series of short movements by various composers of the 16th to 18th centuries, sensitively arranged for two guitars. However, when heard as a complete recital, the effect is ultimately rather bland. Terry Barfoot
