Santiagode Murcia

Santiago de Murcia’s variations, dances (many of exotic origin) and transcriptions have survived, in manuscripts from the 1730s, as guitar solos. But here Paul O’Dette and members of the Harp Consort use them as the basis for lively and convincing ensemble jam sessions, interleaved with quiet solo numbers to create an effective sequence.
