The late Tim Souster could leaven avant-garde techniques with a wicked wit. Best here on this all-brass disc is Equalisation, a splendidly evocative application of live electronics to brass quintet. Rabbit Heaven’s cartoon-music reworkings are incisive as well as affectionate. Excellent performances. Keith Potter
