The fusion TRIO of Terje Rypdal, Miroslav Vitous and Trilok Gurtu gives a feverishly energetic performance on the Jazz Open 1994 -disc. Vitous is on excellent form, and percussion magician Gurtu is immensely watchable — the camera is all over his bag of tricks.
Milt Jackson's vibes are a perfect antidote to any symptoms of fusion overload.
