Babayan, winner of many piano prizes, here presents an unusual and well thought-out programme of 20th-century works from 1921 to 1990. His playing is big-boned, intelligent and full of conviction – witness the wide, full spectrum of quasi-orchestral colour in Vine’s superb Sonata, for example. Recommended. Jessica Duchen
