Mozart, Salieri

We have many superb male altos and countertenors nowadays. But the singing of sopranist Arno Raunig in this splendid, well-chosen recital of castrato arias and motets is so impressive for power, soprano brilliance and vocal flexibility (thanks to his quick vibrato) that one is tempted to request a medical certificate to guarantee that he is not a genuine castrato.
