Brahms • Mendelssohn: Violin Concertos

Dull orchestral playing holds both these concertos back, and sometimes seems to infect Haendel with lassitude. Certainly the Brahms isn’t up to her highest standards, and the Mendelssohn suffers from thin recording. Martin Cotton
