Børresen: At Uranienborg - Tycho Brahe's Dream; Prelude to The Royal Guest; Romance, Op. 4

Elgar, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Strausses of both persuasions, all raise their heads in this pleasant if nondescript late romantic music. Brendstrup delivers the Romance, little more than a salon piece, with charm, but the orchestral playing sometimes becomes scrappy. Martin Cotton
