Poulenc: Voyage à Paris: songs

This Poulenc recital has commendable moments, not least the heartfelt account of ‘Hôtel’, but ultimately it disappoints. White often tries too hard, especially in ‘Fêtes galantes’ and the more rakish songs, notably ‘Voyage à Paris’, are predictable in Sanders hands. Christopher Dingle
