Perlman is in fine form in the four concertos that make up Vivaldi’s unavoidable masterpiece, and he secures excellent, if rather full-bodied, support from the LPO. This disc is recommendable for those wanting a modern-instrument version focussing on a star soloist, and theextra three concertos certainly make it good value.David Michaels
