Conductor Jose Serebrier photographed at his hotel suite, Kings.Meeting Jose Serebrier in Sydney was a great joy to me. Not only is he one of the finest orchestral conductors in the world, he is a charming, sensitive and fun-loving person. He is extremely energetic, hard working (20 hours a day), highly motivated and in love with life and we found we shared a love of music, food and wine.Serebrier is currently appearing at the Opera House, conducting Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov. This is his fourth tour of Australia since 1979, but his first appearance with the Australian Opera.He is married to Carol Farley, a soprano.
