There is no shortage of Reinhardt with various versions of the Hot Club on CD, but this gem gathers together the guitarist’s various sessions with visiting Americans between 1935 and 1939.
Pride of place goes to the Coleman Hawkins All Star Jam Band with Benny Carter and luminous versions of ‘Honeysuckle Rose’ and ‘Crazy Rhythm’, but in truth every track yields joy and makes this reissue indispensable.
