Moon Germs

Moon Germs

Farrell has been a somewhat forgotten figure since his death in 1986, but this, his third album for CTI, is his finest, and reflects the influences of the original acoustic Return to Forever band, of which Farrell was a key member, that had made its recording debut just two months prior to Moon Germs. The exemplary cast of musicians attest to Farrell's stature as a musician, and combine to create a minor classic of Seventies jazz. SN
