Much of this material, recorded in LA in 1953/4, has surfaced only on European bootlegs, and is well worth investigating, though both Getz and Baker shine more brightly in their solo spots than they do when playing together. A fascinating contrast with the contemporaneous, legendary Mulligan-Baker pairing. CP
