Voting in the BBC Music Magazine Awards 2012 is now open! Our jury of critics has selected 21 discs from almost 300 5-star recordings reviewed in 2011 and now it’s over to you.
To help you decide on your favourites, every week we’ll be offering a free Awards podcast giving you a bit more information about each of the recordings nominated in one of the categories. In the fifth podcast, now available on iTunes, editor Oliver Condy, chair of the jury Helen Wallace and reviews editor Rebecca Franks discuss the three recordings in the Vocal category.
Once you’ve listened to the podcast, don’t forget to cast your votes at www.classical-music.com/awards2012. When you’ve voted in all seven categories you’ll be entered into a draw to win a Kemble Centennial piano worth £7,000 or a Yamaha hi-fi worth £380.
