Radio 3's In Tune to relaunch live performances from the BBC Radio Theatre

From today, BBC Radio 3's drivetime show In Tune will return to the BBC premises for a series of live performances from the BBC Radio Theatre.

Members of the Aurora Orchestra will perform at the theatre, obeying social distancing guidelines and without an audience.

It will be the first time the programme has broadcast a live performance in nearly four months.

The musicians will perform works including Debussy's Danse Sacrée et Danse Profane, Andrea Tarrodi's String Quartet No. 3 'Light Scattering', Berio's Duet for Violin XXIV 'Aldo' and excerpts from Huw Watkins's Suite for Harp.

There will also be remote interviews broadcast with artists including pianist Lang lang and flautist James Galway.

The musicians from the Aurora Orchestra will be violinists Jamie Campbell and Alessandro Ruisi, violist Hélène Clément, cellist Reinoud Ford and harpist Sally Pryce.
