Boulanger

Although she died tragically early at the age of 24, Lili Boulanger was already a composer of visionary genius in her teens. I have little hesitation in proclaiming the five choral works on this disc to be amongst the most haunting in all French music, and this opinion is confirmed by performances of tremendous passion and commitment. Urgently recommended. Erik Levi
