Another outstanding organist, Ton Koopman, is featured on Puer Nobis Nascitur, a selection of carol tunes played on another highly characterful organ (the 1778 Van Peteghem at St Martinuskerk, Haringe, Belgium).
Koopman’s punchy, staccato style is instantly invigorating in ‘Noël Suisse’ from his personal choice of three Daquin pieces. Domenico Zipoli’s ‘Pastorale’ is another highlight.
