Armand-Louis Couperin

Armand-Louis Couperin, a member of the illustrious dynasty, was a contemporary of the more widely encountered harpsichord composers Duphly and Balbastre. Jean-Patrice Brosse plays the 25 pieces of Couperin’s 1751 collection. Though variable in quality, they are nonetheless full of airy, rococo charm and Brosse plays with vigour and conviction.
