This second Bartók volume by Naxos’s resident pianist covers some exhilarating repertoire, and is altogether a bargain. The Hungarian Jandó, even if his playing lacks the last degree of tonal finesse or ‘vocal’ nuance, is an alert and strongly authoritative Bartókian. Max Loppert
