Collection: Clair de Lune

This recording is named after the one transcription on the disc as a more familiar draw to the general listener than composers such as Renié and Rosetti. The Debussy Clair de lune suffers from a very Romanticised approach, with many inappropriately arpeggiated chords, and a driven Allegretto unbalances the tempi between sections of the Spohr C minor Fantasia, weakening its structure. Nonetheless, much of this disc shows why Yoshino is one of the most highly regarded of today’s harpists. Danielle Perrett
