Geoffrey Bush

Bush’s music belongs to a gentle branch of the ‘wrong note’ school, solidly tonal with discords here and there, and pleasant enough in a derivative sort of way. This is a collection of miniatures; it seems unbelievable that the extraordinarily archaic Suite champêtre was written in the Nineties. The admirable Eric Parkin does his best with this bland repertoire. Wadham Sutton
