Rátti: Symbole; Panta Rhei; Parabel; Stundenbuch

With titles which translate as ‘Magnificat in the morning’, ‘Flower of autumn’, or ‘Crown of Thorns’, the Swiss composer Carl Rütti's music has a clear religious-romantic inspiration. It flows with an easy, tender lyricism, occasionally losing itself in self-contemplation and more rarely bursting out in declamatory zeal. It needs another pianist to rough it up a bit.
