Even Suk’s early piano music, as this CD shows, is fascinating. But the gem of this issue is the mature set of Lullabies; music of exquisite sensibility: gentle, subtle and, once heard, hard to forget. Immelman’s sympathetic playing compensates for the slightly hard recorded sound. Jan Smaczny
